Recently founded in 2012, the Filipino-American Theater Company of Tampa made its debut production with “Ana Maria”, a Philippine Zarzuela written in the 1930’s by Philippine National Artist Antonio Molina and playwright Severino Reyes. The success of this production is paving the way for more theater productions to come.

Production rehearsals are held at the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center and the Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex.

Auditions for a Musical Theater Production

The Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. is announcing auditions for a Filipino sarzuela to be performed at the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center in Tampa, Florida from March 2-4, 2012. This will be a premiere performance of a Filipino-American theater group designed to be an additional cultural arm of the Foundation and aiming to perform music theater works written by Filipino-American artists.
