 Established in 1990, the Association of Filipino Students is not only considered an organization, but a FAMILY. Alumni can attest that they have made long lasting friendships through AFS. Members come together for meetings, social gatherings, community service activities, intramural sports, dance competitions and Filipino community events. The members of AFS have also organized themselves to address the issues and concerns that affect them both on and off campus. AFS exist to encourage academic achievement, promote social interaction and to raise cultural, political and community awareness among its members and the outside community.
