COMPETITION RULES:

1. New at PhilFest 2008, “Sayawan Na” is a dancing competition open to anyone who loves to dance to any type of music.

2. Contestants may dance solo, with a partner or as a group.

3. Contestants must provide their own props and music (preferably on a CD). Music CD’s must be properly labeled with the contestant or group’s name and the music track to be played for performance. Music CD’s must also be submitted to the competition coordinator at the Sinagtala Theater backstage an hour before competition. Failure to submit on time may disqualify a contestant.

4. Contestants will be judged according to the following criteria: Delivery (25%), Technique (25%), Originality (25%) and Audience Impact (25%) for a total of 100%. The decision of the panel of judges is final.

6. Cash and other valuable prizes will be awarded to the winners and runner-ups. The overall winner will also automatically be a guest performer at the succeeding festival days.
7. Contestants and winners will NOT be provided with complimentary passes or special privileges to the festival.

8. All interested contestants MUST complete the Contest Entry Form in order to be eligible for the competition. This must be sent by mail to:
